About the Role: Educational Advocate / Autism Support Specialist
As an Educational Advocate / Autism Support Specialist, you will be a trusted guide and partner for autistic students and their families. You'll help navigate the special education system, encourage inclusive practices in schools, and promote meaningful collaboration between families and educators.

 

 

Key Responsibilities:
 

•Advocate for the rights and needs of autistic students in educational settings.
•Attend and support families during IEP meetings with a collaborative, student-centered approach.
•Translate special education law and procedural safeguards into family-friendly language.
•Consult with educators to promote best practices for neurodiverse learners.
•Lead or co-facilitate groups, training, and workshops for families, professionals, and the community. •Participate in broader Autism Resource Center initiatives to foster inclusion and empowerment
