What is CFC?

CFC is here to support you if you have concerns about your child's development.  CFC is the system point of entry for Illinois Early Intervention Services within McHenry County for children under 36 months of age!

If you live outside of McHenry County please click here for your local CFC office.

What is Early Intervention?

Early Intervention services are designed to meet an infant or toddler's needs who may be experiencing challenges related to their development. In Illinois, a statewide system called Early Intervention finds and helps arrange services for children who need support to achieve healthy development. Services are provided in the child's natural environment such as your home or community settings in which children without delays would participate.

How do I get started?

Referrals to CFC can be made by a family member, doctor, day care provider, or anyone concerned about the development of a child who is under 36 months old.

It is important to remember that every child is unique! Children grow and develop at different rates. For more information about typical development click here.

If you have concerns about a child's development, you can reach out to Early Intervention to start the evaluation process.  Evaluations are free!
