The Stefanie Sullivan Joyful Arts Program was begun in honor of and at the inspiration of Stef Sullivan, who passed away in January 2022. Stef was an integral part of Options & Advocacy and volunteered there for most of her life. Stef was responsible for closing files, completing mailings, and most of all - morale. She was someone who overcame significant physical challenges including deafness. Her positive attitude and spirit, her humor and resilience were remarkable. Stef greeted each day with a smile and her unique JOYFUL exuberance. Stef was a remarkable artist who expressed herself through her art in ways that she could not express herself verbally. The goal of the Stefanie Sullivan Joyful Arts program is to share that opportunity of expression with others who have their own unique challenges.

What is Joyful Arts?

An Art program for teens and young adults who experience developmental and other challenges.

Classes are taught by an artist. Each participant is given individual instruction based on their ability.

Students will be painting with acrylics on canvas. Most students will be able to take their painting home at the end of each class.
